Engineering/Project Management

Our Project Engineers are focused on being proactive through great communication skills, and excellent planning.  We offer:

• System definition and project planning
• Design – including system architecture, panel design, loop diagrams, communications networks, and electrical interface to existing equipment
• Engineering and programming  – PLC programs, process loop programming, HMI screens, system databases, reports
• Instrumentation systems – Instrument selection, start-up, and calibration
• HMI Development – We have particular expertise in HMI from all major manufacturers
• Data Reporting Development – Custom designed manual entry of process data and lab data reports is our specialty.
• IT Services – Network planning, server system setup, VPN systems.

System Assembly and Factory Test

Our shop work consists of panel layout and assembly.   We place a significant emphasis on checkout and testing, applying thorough methods to assure that when one of our systems is installed, it works right the first time.

• Control Panel Building – We do self-designed in our in-house panel shop, and can also provide UL and build-to-print panels.
• System Staging – All major control systems are staged in our shop to verify correct operation.
• Motor Control Center Modifications/Assembly

Commissioning and Training

Allan ICS engineering staff has the field skills and experience necessary to support the start-up and commissioning of your automated processes and machinery.  We offer training and system documentation services so that your plant personnel can operate and maintain the systems we design and install.

• Develop start-up and commissioning documents / checklists for equipment
• Work with any vendors or electricians to check field devices and wiring
• Operate each piece of equipment to monitor, identify, and correct any problems
• Confirm all communications are properly configured
• Provide all PLC Program or DCS configuration testing and debug
• Tune control loops
• Perform alarm verification testing
• Perform process and/or equipment operational verification
• Finalize and verify that the requirements of the design are satisfied
• Provide operator training
• Provide operations and maintenance manuals
