Ted Zess

Ted started his career at Allan Engineering Company in 1987, shortly after graduating from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Ted became part owner of Allan Engineering in 1995.  In 2004,  Ted split the Instrumentation and Controls group from Allan Engineering and formed a new company, Allan Integrated Control Systems, Inc.

As Chief Engineer and part owner of Allan Integrated Control Systems, Inc, Ted is in charge of supervising the scheduling and the review of the design of projects.

Ted’s scope of work has included the design and implementation of many I & C projects over the years, too many to include here. Major projects include the City of Chicago’s Water System SCADA projects, Village of Wilmette, Illinois Water SCADA system, Highland Park, IL SCADA system and the Fox Metro Water Reclamation District WWTP in Aurora, IL.

Ted has extensive experience in all aspects of SCADA system design and implementation. Ted has worked on almost all types of PLC, DCS, and HMI systems currently in use.

Ted is very involved in his hometown community, serving as a Village Trustee for 7 years, as well as, many years of service on the Village of East Troy Planning Commission. Ted is on the Board of the East Troy Electric Railroad, and spends many hours volunteering for the east Troy Chamber of Commerce events.

While not at Allan ICS, or volunteering somewhere, Ted enjoys riding his Harley, spending time at Upper Eau Claire Lake in Barnes, WI at the family cabin, golfing with his 2 boys and wife, as well as keeping the boys away from his beautiful 17 year old daughter. In addition; the family spends time with friends and family members on Lake Beulah. Ted is very talented in home remodeling, especially with tiling and marble work.
